Giles Honored By Golf Digest

PGA Professional Joe Giles of Granville Golfland has been named one of the Top Ten Golf Teaching Professional in Ohio by Golf Digest for the second consecutive year.  This prestigious award, voted on by other golf professionals as well as by students, is among the highest awards that a golf professional may receive.  Giles, a lifetime member of the PGA, is also a past winner of the Top 100 Teacher by Golf Magazine as well as being named a Southern Ohio PGA Teacher of the Year.  “Being recognized is always a thrill,” states Giles.  “But being named as a top teacher by a national magazine is very special.” 

NC Golfers 5th in State

Newark Catholic Boys Golf Team, coached by Golfland P.G.A. Professional, Joe Giles wrapped up a sensational High School Golf season by placing 5th in the Division 3 State Finals held at the OSU Scarlett Course.

The Green Wave finished with a record of 89 wins and 26 losses on their way to a 2nd place finish in the Mid State League, a Sectional Championship and a 4th place District finish, qualifying them for the State Finals.
